O-610 5-saw oscillator for eurorack / Doepfer A100 system.
From top to bottom:
tune CV (V/oct) input jack
tune knobs, coarse & fine
detune knobs for OSC 1,2,3
ouput jack
Five parallel saw oscillators in one 4HP module, range approx. 20Hz to 2kHz (over 6 octaves). At low extreme stops working, at high extreme goes wild.
Oscillator 5 is the main oscillator, slightly stronger than others (approx. +3dB). It is always on, no panel controls.
Oscillator 4 can be unconnected by removing jumper (marked red in the board picture). Its detuning is controlled by internal trimmer only. In some conditions like uneven heating in the rack can be unintentionally detuned. The only way to change its detuning in current conditions is internal trim, so sometimes is better to turn osc4 off. No panel controls.
Oscillators 1, 2 and 3 have a detuning knob on the front panel.
Oscillator 3 can be shifted down an octave if the internal jumper is set (marked yellow on the board picture), then it should be retuned by front panel knob to give the exact octave (or it can be trimmed with the front panel knob in the middle position if octave down mode will be used as default).
There are 6 multiturn trimmers on the board. Top trimmer sets V/oct tracking. Other 5 trimmers detunes oscillators. Osc1-3 should be tuned to the same tone as osc5 with panel potentiometers in the middle – 12 o’clock.
Green numbered marks point to last legs of ICs, there are oscillator’s individual outputs for retuning using an counter or oscilloscope with frequency measurement if required (usualy not needed, everything can be trimmed by ear).
Sounds fat, like bag full of bees 🙂
Width: 4TE/ 4HP/ 20mm.
Depth: 63mm /2,5″ max.
Current: 25mA max.
Power cable included.
Double check power connection before powering your system please.
„Red strip“ means -12V connector side in Eurorack standards.
In some power distribution systems connector key can be reverted.
In this case cut connector key and plug power connector right way (with respect to red strip) or use different power cable appropriate to your power system.
