The M-145 is 5-channel mixer in 4HP only. Inputs can be DC or AC coupled (for mixing CV and/or audio) by internal jumpers (jumper set = DC coupled). Inputs are basically “equal gain” but if some inputs are not used gain ratio for used inputs is changed due normalling (signal from upper jack is copied to lower empty inputs). There is simple rule: more empty jacks below = increased gain. As example: if inputs 2 and 4 (or inputs 4 and 5) are used only then they will be about same level. If inputs 1 and 4 are used then input 1 will be slightly stronger than input 4 (two empty jacks below “1”, one empty below “4”). If input 1 and 5 will be used only then input 1 will be much stronger than input 5 (more empty inputs below “1”). If signals should be mixed at equal level (say 4 oscillators for polyphony) higher inputs should be used (for 4 sources at same level use inputs 2, 3, 4 and 5. Repatching signal from input 2 to input 1 makes this signal stronger than others). If all 5 inputs are used their levels will be same.

„Red strip“ means -12V connector side in Eurorack standards.
In some power distribution systems connector key can be reverted.
In this case cut connector key and plug power connector right way (with respect to red strip) or use different power cable appropriate to your power system.
